The conference will take place at the Graduate Centre at Queen Mary University of London.

The majority of the day will be in the Peston Lecture Theatre on the ground floor. The workshop will take place in room 1.01, and there will be a chillout space in room 1.14 (more details under accessibility below). Lunch, the G(end)er Swap stall and the evening keynote reception will be in the foyer outside the lecture theatre.

Accessible toilets (all gender-neutral):

  • ground floor – one
  • first floor – two
  • second floor – two
  • more above
  • unfortuantely there are no Changing Places toilets on campus

Non-accessible toilets:

  • ground floor – none
  • first floor – gender-neutral during conference; one room with cubicles (menstrual hygiene bins to be confirmed)
  • second floor – gender-neutral during conference; one room with one cubicle, three urinals and a shower
  • higher floors – gendered

Chillout space: room 1.14 is designated as a chillout space with a capacity of 35. This is intended to be a quiet, relaxed environment for those who need a moment of peace away from the conference buzz. In order for it to serve its purpose and so that the space can be used by those who need it most, we ask that you don’t treat this as a general seating area.
